Spring Break is Upon Us!!!!

Image result for spring break 2020

I think that we can all agree that everyone is in need of a break from school! I don't have any fun plans over Spring Break, do you?

For you blog post this week, I want you to update your progress so far. What have you done to work on your project? Have you worked on it outside of school hours, or only during the time allotted in class? Do you plan to dedicate anytime to the project over spring break? If so, what do you plan to do? Have you encountered any hurdles so far in the project? If so what are they?

Use the questions above to aid you in writing your blog post for this week. As always you don't have to write about the answers to my questions; they are intended to help if you are stuck. Remember that your blog should be a running log of what you are learning and how the something that you are doing is progressing so writing about those things is just fine too.

So.... by the time you get back from Spring Break, you should have at least four completed blog posts. Hope you have a safe and relaxing break!

Research

At this point everyone should have at least two blog posts: the first blog post should be your ideas for the "Do Something" Project while your second blog post should have outlined your ultimate goal.

Today you should begin research. What do you need to learn in order to reach your goal? What materials do you need for the project? How much do they cost? Who is going to be your mentor for the project? Do you know someone personally that can help you, or will you find an online mentor? How much time do you think that you will need to dedicate the project in order to reach your goal? All of these questions can be answered through research.

Your blog post today should include any relevant research that you do regarding your topic. Use your blog as a space to record your research. Make sure that you are keep a record of your sources as you will need to include this in your final presentation.

You should also include any progress that you have made toward reaching your goal.

Happy researching :-), and let me know what I can do to help!

Goals

When starting any project, it is important to start with a goal in mind. For this week's blog post, I would like for you to set a goal or goals for your project. So if you are learning to play the guitar, is there a particular song that you want to be able to play by the end of the project to show your success.? If you want to do photography, do you want to be adept at editing photos by the end of the project? If you plan to learn to bake, what dessert are you going to bake to show that you have succeeded at being a baker?

Setting goals is important, but its hard to achieve a goal if you don't have a plan. What is your plan to achieve your goal? What steps will you need to take in order to achieve your goal? Do you have a timeline in mind? What research do you need to do so that you are successful? What materials do you need to work towards your goal.

It's also important for you to anticipate any potential challenges that could impede you from reaching your goal. What are some challenges that you may face along your learning journey? What are some ways for you to overcome those challenges?

I have already seen some great ideas, and I look forward to seeing what you can achieve. Good luck and let me know if I can be of any assistance 😀
